Select your longest focal length and compose a portrait shot fairly tightly within the frame in front of a background with depth. Take one photography. Then walk towards your subject while zooming out to your shortest focal length.

I missed virtually all key aspects of the brief when taking these photos, I kept the same focal length, the photos aren't of a person and the background has no depth.
I was aware from Langford's Basic Photography the effect I was trying to create, however over this weekend I was unable to find relevant reference points that I could use. An exercise I must revisit.
